Online Wellness Association understands that the healing professions are entering the 21st Century by building practices and offering services and products online. OWA recognizes the Internet as a way of offering services worldwide; often where there are no services currently available for those in need of healing. In addition, Online Wellness Association understands that it is important for professionals in health and wellness fields to be identified as legitimate professionals as practices are established on the world of the Internet. Therefore, OWA’s goal is to provide a SAFE platform for practitioners to build successful practices online and for potential clients to feel safe when choosing a practitioner. The OWA Seal of Approval will become known as an indicator of authenticity and validity between practitioner and client.
Online Wellness Association is now in its third year of development. The Online Wellness Association is in a pre-launch beta testing phase which is testing not only how our website operates, and how the users and potential members are viewing it, but, also, it is testing the ability of each of our departments to work together. While the web developers, and the system administrator work on the back of the site, Membership has been honing the systems for the policies, procedures, processing that needs to happen as new members come aboard. Marketing has been placing ads, identifying and testing target groups, developing marketing material, and tweaking the market strategy. Administration is dealing with finances, human services, and public relations. The relationships Online Wellness Association has been establishing through the past years has been remarkable; these are certain to be long-term members and friends of Online Wellness Association. The entire staff of Online Wellness Association is grateful for the patience, insightful feedback, and encouragement received by our Pioneer Members. Online Wellness Association is also grateful to the many browsers that visit the website and contact us regarding questions they have about the purpose, and their feedback about how the site maneuvers and looks. This data will assist Online Wellness Association with planning budges, developing intradepartmental communications, create a strong member/partner support network. Online Wellness Association is deliberately avoiding a projection date to come off the beta designation—when it is right is when we will celebrate a full launch.
